Sharing the gospel with anyone under 18 is illegal in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Valley of Blessing Youth Camp opens the door to reach young people and is now expanding to double capacity!

the DESCRIPTION
This project is planned in three phases including a major remodel and addition to a multi purpose building and remodeling to existing facilities. Phase 1 is completing the structural modifications and getting the building dried in for the multi-purpose building dorm rooms and cafeteria expansion. Phase 2 will be the finishing work on the interior including the electrical, plumbing, walls, and all furnishings. Phase 3 will be the remodeling of other buildings which includes flooring, windows, doors, a ceiling, electrical and plumbing.
the BENEFITS
The Valley of Blessing Youth Camp is reaching young people with the gospel in a country where there are only approximately 500 protestant believers! This project will double the capacity of the camp and will give even more young believers the opportunity to hear the gospel! Many young believers will encounter God and be called into ministry as future leaders of this first generation church! Additionally, the camp is utilized by the Bosnia-Herzevegonia Pentecostal Union churches year round for meetings and gatherings of these churches in this very difficult region of the world for Christians.
Meet the Hobbs Family
Curt is a Wyoming native who grew up in the Assemblies of God. Attending camps and youth conventions were significant pieces of his spiritual development. He spent 14 years with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at the University of Wyoming. Curt has a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s degree in Child & Family Studies.
Sara spent ten years with Chi Alpha at the University of Wyoming. A native of Minnesota, she enjoys reading and has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications and French.
Curt and Sara were married in 1993 and now have two grown children, Beth and Daniel. In 2002 they moved to Kraków, Poland, to help develop student ministry in the Polish Pentecostal church and participated in Students for Christ -Europe events until 2016.
They moved to Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2017 to help the national church. They serve the camps in the summer months, and they are still involved in Students for Christ, as well.
The Balkan Nation of Bosnia-Herzegovina:
- Population 3.2 million
- Nearly half the population is Muslim
- The other half of religious people are Serbian Orthodox or Croatian Catholic
